Commissioner Bobby Green, Sr., presided with Commissioners Don Hampton, Anna Morrison and Peter Sorenson present. Bill Dwyer was excused. County Administrator Bill Van Vactor, Assistant County Counsel Marc Kardell and Recording Secretary Melissa Zimmer were also present.
15. PUBLIC HEARINGS
a. SECOND READING AND PUBLIC HEARING/Ordinance No. 16-04/In the Matter of Amending Chapter 5 of Lane Code to Clarify Lien Priority (LC 5.017) (NBA & PM 9/15/04).
Kardell recalled that in the agenda cover memo there were varying responses from title companies on how they should be receiving their liens. County Counsel thought it was best to clean up the language, making it consistent with the language regarding the abatement liens. He hoped it would let all the title companies recognize nuisance abatement liens as a first priority.
Commissioner Green opened up the Public Hearing. There being no one signed up to speak, he closed the Public Hearing.
MOTION: to adopt Ordinance No. 16-04.
Morrison MOVED, Hampton SECONDED.
ROLL CALL VOTE: 4-0.
16. COMMISSIONERS' ANNOUNCEMENTS
Morrison announced there would be a Harvest Open House on October 14 for Food for Lane County. She said she would be going to Kalispell, Montana working on the Secure Rural Schools Act.
Green stated that October 4 is the AOC Legislative Committee meeting.
