Commissioner Peter Sorenson presided with Commissioners Bill Dwyer, Bobby Green, Sr., Tom Lininger and Anna Morrison present.  County Administrator Bill Van Vactor, County Counsel Teresa Wilson and Recording Secretary Melissa Zimmer were also present.

 

1. PUBLIC HEARING AND ORDER 03-6-18-1M/In the Matter of Adopting the 2003-2004 Metropolitan Wastewater Service District Budget, Making Appropriations and Levying Taxes.  

 

Dave Garnick, Senior Budget Analyst, reported the Budget Committee for the Metropolitan Wastewater Service District held a public hearing and approved the 2003/2004 Budget on May 21, 2003.  He added they put a public notice in the Register Guard as required by state budget law on June 8 and the Board must hold a public hearing and deliberate before a final adoption.  He stated there are no adjustments or any other recommended changes.  He noted because the debt is all paid, there are no taxes to levy.  He said staff recommended approval.

 

Sorenson opened up the Public Hearing.  There being no one else signed up to speak, he closed the Public Hearing.

 

MOTION:  to approve ORDER 03-6-18 –1M.

 

Dwyer MOVED, Green SECONDED.

 

VOTE:  4-0 (Morrison out of room).

 

There being no further business, Commissioner Sorenson adjourned the meeting at 9:05 a.m.
