W 18th Avenue, between City View and Chambers:  Major reconstruction of the north half (west bound lane and part of center lane) of W 18th Avenue from City View to Chambers will be happening this week. Traffic will be shifted into narrow lanes on the south half of the street. The north half of the intersections of Cleveland, Arthur, Garfield, Hayes and Grant will be closed to all traffic. Concrete pavement is being replaced in sections east of Chambers under the Westmoreland Park bike bridge, also shifting traffic into narrow lanes. East bound and west bound West 18th traffic will be maintained, but drivers should expect delays and use alternate routes when possible. Work hours will be 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. this week, with a 4 a.m. to 7 a.m. concrete pavement pour anticipated on Wednesday or Thursday morning. Arthur Street will be closed at West 18th Monday through Friday.

Ayres Pond Outfall Improvements: Improvements to culverts and pond outfall will occur within and around the waterway near the intersection of Gilham and Crescent roads. Watch for construction equipment traffic, lane closures and lane shifts. Use caution and follow signs and directions from flaggers. Expect delays of up to 5 minutes. Use alternate routes if possible.

Miscellaneous U of O projects:  Southbound Agate will be closed between Franklin Boulevard and 13th Avenue due to addition of right turn lane. Agate Street will be closed between 13th and 15th Avenue for the construction of a new pedestrian island crosswalk. Moss Street at 15th Avenue and vicinity will have heavy truck traffic due to various surrounding construction projects, but significant road closures are not anticipated. Franklin Boulevard will have various lane closures in the turn pocket/median areas at Walnut Street, Orchard Street, Villard Street, and Agate Street.  These lane closures are to allow additional turn lane pockets to accommodate increased traffic in the arena area.

Goodpasture Island Road:  Construction is underway to install a major culvert crossing under Goodpasture Island Road. This road is closed now through the first week of September near the Delta Ponds just north of Kendall Budget Sales. Access will be maintained to all businesses and residences; however there will be no through traffic.

13th Avenue from Alder Street to Washington Street:  Project clean up is scheduled for this week, weather permitting. Watch for construction equipment traffic, lane closures, and lane shifts. At least one lane of traffic will be allowed at all times. Expect moderate delays and use alternate routes if possible.

Crest Drive (Blanton Road to intersection with Crest Drive near Morse Family Farm):

Paving and constructing concrete speed tables on the southerly section of Crest from Blanton to Storey will close this street section. Preparing the section of Crest from Storey to the north intersection of Crest near Morse Family Farm will also cause street closures and delays. This road is scheduled to be closed to all traffic, except for those residents whose only access to their homes is on this roadway.  Use caution and follow signs and directions from flaggers. For more information see www.eugene-or.gov/crestdrive

Storey Boulevard (south intersection with Crest Drive to Lorane Highway):  There may continue to be roadside work along this road that may cause short delays to traffic. Closures on Crest may impact use of the south intersection with Crest. Use caution and follow signs and directions from flaggers. For more information see www.eugene-or.gov/crestdrive

Friendly Street (from Lorane Highway to W 28th Avenue:  There may continue to be roadside work along this road that may cause short delays to traffic. Use caution and follow signs and directions from flaggers. For more information see www.eugene-or.gov/crestdrive
