It is against state law to dispose of TVs, computers and monitors in the garbage. This material can be recycled for FREE at five Lane County's transfer sites: Glenwood Central Receiving Station, Veneta, Florence, Vida, or Cottage Grove. More than 7 items require a disposal appointment and may require fees, call 682-3111 or Click here for more information on the State E-Cycles Law, and other local recycling options for this material.
The mercury in fluorescent lamps should not go in the garbage. Compact fluorescent lamps (CFLs) or fluorescent tubes 4 ft or less, can be recycled at many local hardware and lighting stores.
