County College

County College is an interactive program that focuses on educating residents about the services the County provides every day. Elected officials and county staff will host unique and informative sessions designed to give residents a hands-on experience in county government operations. Take the Class! Be informed and involved! Join other residents who help keep our community strong by participating in county affairs.

Due to a low turnout in applications for County College 2010, it has been cancelled; however, check back as we will continue this biannually.

Program History

Fall, 2009 marked the first class of Lane County's County College.  We wanted to share our great stories with you and provide an opportunity for community members to get an in-depth, hands-on experience with their County government.  Our goal was to provide residents with a greater connection to their County. Each week, participants were involved in interactive and unique activities and information sessions.  They also toured County facilities, which provided a hands-on experience in County government operations.
