METRO WASTEWATER SERVICE DISTRICT BUDGET COMMITTEE MEETING
Commissioners' Conference Room - 5:15 p.m.
PRESENT: Lane County Budget Committee Chair Peter Bartel convened the meeting with Marie Bell, Steve Cornacchia, Ellie Dumdi, Bobby Green, Sr., Carol Jones and Cindy Weeldreyer (arrived at 5:30 p.m.) present. Scott Engstrom, Chris Matson and Jerry Rust excused. Sharon Giles, Recording Secretary.
I. INTRODUCTION OF SERVICE DISTRICT BUDGET COMMITTEE MEMBERS
David Garnick, Senior Management Analyst, introduced the members of the Lane County Metro Wastewater Service District Budget Committee.
II. BUDGET COMMITTEE BUSINESS
Election of Chair and Vice-Chair
MOTION: Nominating Peter Bartel and Marie Bell as Chair and Vice-Chair respectively. Dumdi MOVED, Jones SECONDED. VOTE: 6-0 (Weeldreyer not present for this vote.)
Approval of the Minutes of May 2, 1995
MOTION: Approval of the Minutes. Bell MOVED, Green SECONDED. VOTE: 6-0. (Weeldreyer not present for this vote.)
III. PRESENTATION OF 1996-97 BUDGET
Garnick provided a detailed review of the Metropolitan Wastewater Service District (see material on file). He reviewed the Bond Retirement Fund and the Administration and Construction Fund.
Weeldreyer arrived at 5:30 p.m.
IV. PUBLIC HEARING
Bartel opened the Public Hearing. There being no one present who wished to testify, Bartel closed the Public Hearing.
V. DELIBERATIONS AND ACTION
MOTION: To adopt the 1996-97 Metro Wastewater Service District budget and levying taxes as presented. Cornacchia MOVED, Dumdi SECONDED. VOTE: 7-0.
