Secretary Melissa Zimmer were also present.

REMONSTRANCE
Sorenson commented
that he has been trying to follow the activities of the new administration on
housing issues. He hoped the
problems they have had with a long waiting list will be alleviated with federal
assistance. He hoped they could
make good on their overall objectives of family wage jobs and doing what they
can on green building.

the Matter of Accepting a Bid and Awarding a Contract for Purchase of Vinyl
Replacement Windows, Weatherization of Homes Project, 09-M-0009.

BUSINESS
a. ORDER 08-12-17-2H/In
the Matter of Approving Contracts 09-P-0014 (Architectural Services) and
09-C-013 (Construction Management/General Contractor Services) for the Roosevelt
Crossing Transitional Housing Project in Eugene.
Jim McCoy, HACSA,
reported that this is for transitional housing with Sponsors, Inc.
He said they were successful in receiving credits and other subsidizes
and they are moving forward with the project.
He indicated that they are formalizing their relationship with the
development team.

b. ORDER 08-12-17-3H/In
the Matter of Authorizing the Executive Director or Deputy Director to Acquire
the Site and Improvements Located at 337 Iowa Street in Eugene to Further the
Development of Transitional Housing.
McCoy indicated
that this project allows them to acquire a parcel located directly behind and
adjacent to the existing parcel. He
said they had previously acquired two vacant parcels that are close, but not
contiguous. He said the intent is
to construct a warehouse that would be used for program services for Sponsors.
He indicated with the purchase of the parcel comes a warehouse in good
condition and no environmental problems.
He said that it relieves them the cost of putting in sewer and water
connection down Highway 99. He
added that Sponsors was interested in acquiring the two vacant parcels from them
for future use of the project.
