Commissioner Peter Sorenson presided with Commissioners Bill Dwyer, Bill Fleenor and Bobby Green, Sr., present. Faye Stewart was excused.  County Administrator Bill Van Vactor, County Counsel Teresa Wilson and Recording Secretary Melissa Zimmer were also present.

 

16. PUBLIC HEARINGS

 

a. PUBLIC HEARING AND ORDER 07-5-2-16/In the Matter of Renaming a Portion of Airport Road (Co. Rd. #618) to Old Airport Road (NBA & PM 3/21/07).

 

Bill Robinson, Land Management, indicated that Public Works is the applicant on this renaming and is supported by the City of Eugene.  He distributed aerial photos. (Copy in file.)  He noted that the relocated Airport Road is completed.  He said after this process they will come back with the alterations.  He stated there are four residents on the road and one individual in the beginning had some concerns.  The neighbor wanted to be kept apprised of the project and they were successful in doing that.  He indicated that the project was straightforward.  He said he will come back with a vacation of a portion of the road west of Greenhill.

 

Commissioner Peter Sorenson opened the Public Hearing.  There being no one signed up to speak, he closed the Public Hearing.

 

MOTION: to approve ORDER 07-5-2-16.

 

Dwyer MOVED, Green SECONDED.

 

VOTE: 4-0.

 

17. COMMISSIONERS' ANNOUNCEMENTS

 

Fleenor announced his Coffee and Conversation at Dani’s Café with City Councilor Mike Clark.

 

Green stated he would be out of town next week to attend his son’s graduation.

 

Dwyer indicated that there would not be a Budget Committee Meeting on May 8.

None.

 

There being no further business, Commissioner Sorenson recessed the meeting into Executive Session at 2:20 p.m.
