Commissioner Faye Stewart presided with Commissioners Bill Fleenor, Bobby Green, Sr. and Peter Sorenson present.  Bill Dwyer was excused.  Recording Secretary Melissa Zimmer  was also present.

1. Welcome and Introductions

The Board welcomed  a delegation of Oregon legislators led by Senate President Peter Courtney and House Speaker Jeff Merkley.

3. Tour of Serbu Youth Center

Lisa Smith, Department of Youth Services and her staff gave a tour of the Serbu Youth Center.

4. Discussion

Stewart gave an explanation on what has taken place in Lane County and what a $20 million cut to the general fund could do.

Doug Harcleroad, District Attorney, discussed his handout.  (Copy in file).

Anette Spickard, Assessor, discussed the upcoming impacts to the County.

Lisa Smith, Department of Youth Services, described the cuts affecting Department of Youth Services.

Karen Gillette, Health and Human Services, discussed the concerns about the cuts to prevention and treatment programs.

There being no further business, Commissioner Stewart adjourned the meeting at 2:30 p.m.
