Commissioner
Faye Stewart presided with Commissioners Bobby Green, Sr., Anna Morrison and
Peter Sorenson present. Bill Dwyer was

Vactor, County Counsel Teresa Wilson and Recording Secretary Melissa Zimmer
were also present.
1. SEMI-ANNUAL BOARD OF HEALTH REPORT
Rob Rockstroh, Health and
Human Services, reported that family mediation had a special program for
children going through a divorce. He
noted there were 526 parents attending that class in the past six months.
Rockstroh reported that the school based clinics and the
community health centers are looking at issues regarding community health
centers. He said it is the Human
Services Commission’ preference toward going with a 190 issue.
Green indicated the challenge with the HSC and the FQHC is
the amount of revenue they can collect and the expenses. He said they asked the group to do a
financial analysis and then discuss restructuring.
Rockstroh reported they did a good job of getting
partners that are family oriented into the Lane County Mental Health Building.
With regard to Lane Care, the Oregon Health Plan for
mental health services, Rockstroh commented that in Lane County the demand for
psychiatric services is higher than anywhere else in the state. He didn’t know why Lane County was different.
Rockstroh reported they are transitioning family planning
to the Riverstone Clinic.
Rockstroh discussed Parole and Probation.
2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: None.
There
being no further business, Commissioner Stewart adjourned the meeting at 9:20
a.m.
