Dwyer presided with Commissioners Bobby Green, Sr., Hugh Massengill, Judith
Pothier, Peter Sorenson and Faye Stewart present. Anna Morrison was excused. County Administrator Bill Van Vactor,
County Administrator Teresa Wilson and Recording Secretary Melissa Zimmer were
also present.

COMMISSIONERS' REMONSTRANCE
Pothier
thanked everyone for their help while she was on the HACSA Board. She said she was able to make a difference
in people’s lives.

REGULAR BUSINESS
a. ORDER 05-12-14-1H/In the Matter of Accepting a Bid and
Awarding Contract #06-C-0010 for Laurelwood Re-Construction: Phase Eight.
Don Williams, HACSA, indicated that they had a single bidder. He added that was not the normal process in
the past. He commented that the
contractor they chose does excellent work.
He indicated that there is problem with getting contractors to bid on
the coast. He commented that he was
dissatisfied with having one bidder.
Pothier commented that it was good that the square footage cost for
Phase Eight was lower than for Phase Seven.
MOTION: to approve ORDER 05-12-14-1H.
Massengill MOVED, Pothier SECONDED.
VOTE: 6-0.
b. ORDER 05-12-14-2/In the Matter of Approving the Public
Housing Assessment System Certification for the Fiscal Year Ended September 30,
2005.
Williams explained that this is the management assessment system for
the public housing assessment. He said
they know the results and all of the components tell them that once again they
will be a high performer. He indicated
that they had lowered the occupancy waiting period by two days. He added that staff was doing an excellent
job.
MOTION: to approve ORDER 05-12-14-2.
Green MOVED, Stewart SECONDED.
VOTE: 6-0
